Students who are currently enrolled in the Master of Acupuncture or Master of Oriental Medicine program may transfer into either the Doctor of Acupuncture or Doctor of Oriental Medicine programs with no additional prerequisites.
The core doctoral program consists of 22 credits above MUIH’s master’s degrees:
- 18 credits (8 courses) are didactic and cover topics that include research literacy, advanced diagnostic skills, working within interdisciplinary teams and settings, collaborative care and practice management.
- 4 credits (2 courses) are clinical in nature and will provide an opportunity to enhance and deepen clinical skills, especially in an integrative setting.
