5:00-6:00 Poster Session

Research posters from MUIH students, faculty, staff, and alumni

This year's posters summarize primary research, case reports, research designs, and research reviews in a range of complementary and integrative health disciplines. 

6:00-6:15 Break

6:15-7:00 Keynote Address

Dr. Belinda Anderson, Associate Clinical Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein, NY) and Academic Dean at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM-NY).

Dr. Anderson will discuss “Evidence-Based Medicine and the Chinese Medicine Profession: An Exploration of Attitudes and Beliefs in Relation to Education and Cultural Change.”

7:00-7:15 Update on MUIH Research Initiatives

James Snow, Assistant Provost for Academic Research, Maryland University of Integrative Health

An update on research at MUIH including a pilot study at the Natural Care Center.

7:15-7:30 Research and Poster Awards Announced

Awards will be presented for student and faculty poster presentations.

7:30-8:00 Presentation by Excellence in Research and Scholarship Awardee

Dr. Michael Tims, Academic Director, Herbal Programs, Maryland University of Integrative Health

Dr. Tims will discuss "Design, Development, and Implementation of Two Student-assisted Research Studies".
