Narrative Health

Overview

Narrative health taps into the power of an individual’s journey and story, and applies critical listening skills and creativity to address self-care and an individual’s health, wellness, and healing. It affords patients, clients, care givers, and health and wellness professionals a unique approach to recognize and address health, wellness, and healing through personal empowerment.

Graduate Academic Programs

Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Narrative Health

This program prepares graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to understand the patient/client narrative as part of the healing process and to use writing and appreciative inquiry methodologies to achieve health and wellness. MUIH’s program is one of only three graduate programs in the U.S. and is the only one to be offered primarily online and with an integrative health approach. Narrative health complements a wide range of health and wellness modalities and provides professionals with the opportunity to enhance their current practice with a unique approach.

An MUIH education is not just for living, but for life.
