We Provide

Counseling and Wellness Services offers free, confidential, short-term counseling, support groups; consultations; and community-based referral services to students actively taking classes.

We Do Not Provide

Counseling and Wellness Services is unable to provide educational assessments; assessments and documentation for emotional support animals or service animals; one-time assessments for accommodations or study abroad evaluations; or long-term psychotherapy, therapy occurring more than one time per week, or therapy for disorders that warrant specialized treatment, or co-current therapy.

Community Mental Health Services

It is recommended that current and prospective students in need of ongoing, long-term mental health support (including psychiatric medications) familiarize themselves with their insurance benefits, to assist in the referral process.

Concerns

There are a variety of reasons for someone to seek counseling services; a life-changing event, difficulty adjusting to coursework, or perhaps experiencing feelings and emotions that are difficult to cope with. Below are some of the most common concerns facing MUIH students. To make an appointment with the clinician, please contact Counseling and Wellness Services at or register and schedule a session through the student portal here:
