Webinar | *NEW* Certificate in Culinary Health and Healing Program

We are very excited to announce that MUIH has been approved to offer a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Culinary Health and Healing. This program is one of only a few graduate programs in the U.S. to focus on the emerging field of culinary health and medicine!
As a student, you’ll be taught the nutritional science behind the culinary skills. Provided with the knowledge to make an immediate impact – both in nutrient density and flavor – you’ll work to develop meal plans matched to a client’s budget and resources. You’ll learn how to empower clients, including underserved populations, to navigate a complex and inequitable food system and take control of their health and well-being. You’ll celebrate global cuisine and explore multicultural and culturally specific meal plans, while taking into consideration food preferences, allergens, and other special dietary requirements. This program builds on your interest with food, and how you can best serve your community.
Upon completion of the program students will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to select and prepare nutrient-dense whole foods.
- Devise meal plans to support optimal health and those with health challenges.
- Adapt healthy whole foods menus to meet the needs of individuals of diverse demographic, cultural, and clinical groups.
- Collaborate with nutrition professionals and other healthcare practitioners to support dietary health and healing for individuals and populations.
