Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), a national leader in the education and practice of natural medicine, announced today that it has been awarded the nationally-recognized Quality Matters (QM) certification to three of its online courses:
Abigail Aiyepola, N.D., LM, associate dean of the School of Naturopathic Medicine at MUIH, has been appointed to the board of the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health (ACIH) representing the Direct-Entry Midwifery (DEM) accreditors.
Maryland University of Integrative Health recently held our second annual Research Symposium to highlight the University’s research and scholarship. The center-piece of the event was a poster session displaying research from members of the MUIH community. Awards of excellence are given each year, and this year’s Student Research Poster Award winners were Ronald DeMartin, Marion Bolding, and Abbi Lichtenstein.

Maryland University of Integrative Health’s Research Symposium is an annual event that highlights the University’s research and scholarship. This free event will offer several highlights, including a presentation by this year’s winner of the MUIH Excellence in Research and Scholarship Award, Michael Tims, Ph.D. His presentation, titled “Design, Development, and Implementation of Two Student-assisted Research Studies” will cover some of the innovative work he has conducted in his role as Academic Director for Herbal Programs at MUIH. We recently interviewed Dr. Tims about his presentation, and the importance of research in herbal medicine.
