As an educator, Alyson Roux has taught at the undergraduate and graduate level since 2008. She has 10 years of experience in the healthcare field in outpatient nutrition care as a clinician, educator and clinical supervisor.

Professional Narrative

Alyson is a clinical nutritionist who specializes in behavioral nutrition; specifically chronic dieting, eating disorders, mental health, and co-occuring gastrointestinal, metabolic and reproductive health conditions for those in recovery from ED. With her background working in the arts and entertainment industry, Alyson has special interest in working with artists and health behaviors.

She is a co-founder of Nutrition Hive, a multi-state, insurance-based functional nutrition group practice offering weight-inclusive care to clients with a variety of clinical needs. Alyson is also a cofounder of Clinician's Incubator, which provides CNS supervision and post-graduate education and continuing education for emerging nutrition professionals.

Alyson has presented on health education and nutrition topics at Actor's Fund, SAG-AFTRA, Producers Guild of America (PGA), Dance Resource Center and at various conservatory performing arts programs at colleges and universities. Continuing education and conference presentations include the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Annual Symposium (2018) as well as other regional eating disorder clinician groups (IAEDP LA, Chicago Area Eating Disorders Network, CFD NELA), and the American Nutrition Association Personalized Nutrition Summit (2022).

She serves as a member of the Credentials Council for the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists®.
