Laura has a background in health, exercise science, food service industry, and nutrition. She has previously worked with a private inpatient addiction treatment center, integrative medical office, and is now the Director of Howard County Women, Infants, and Children Program.

Professional Narrative

Laura has a passion for community service and education. She has been a member of Friends of Gwynn Falls Leakin Park, a group that helps protect and clean up the largest public city parks in Maryland. She has worked for The Community Action Council of Howard County and Headstart through grants coordinated by MUIH.
