New research has been released on the effectiveness of two traditional Chinese therapies, tuina and yijinjing. In a randomized controlled study with more than 100 participants, the two therapies combined were shown to be more effective than tuina therapy alone for pain, functional recovery, and anxiety.
MUIH Adjunct Faculty, Daniel Schrier, shares that tuina therapy and yijinjing exercise “complement each other very well and accentuate the therapeutic quality of the treatment, much like acupuncture and herbal medicine.”
