I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Reiki Master with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

I use acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and herbal recommendations to address the particular requirements of each individual seeking treatment. When you come to see me, I’m going to work with you to understand your unique needs. I’ve had positive experiences treating patients with chronic pain, migraines, TMJ, anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, autoimmune and neurological disorders, fertility challenges, women’s health issues, pediatric issues, digestive complaints, etc. There’s really nothing that acupuncture can’t help to some degree.

As a licensed acupuncturist, my goal is to help you find relief and be able to view yourself in wellness- whatever that looks and feels like for you. Let me show you how I can support you as part of your healthcare team.

My journey in the wellness industry began in 2007. I was working full-time as a lawyer in Washington, DC, and was desperate to alleviate some of the health issues that came along with my stressful work and environment. Acupuncture and a regular yoga practice were the only things that really helped me. Inspired, I soon completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and began teaching part-time. I quickly discovered that what I loved most about teaching was seeing the positive impact my classes were having on students’ health and well-being. It was then that I decided to switch career paths to study alternative medicine, so I could bring gentle and effective healing modalities to others. In 2011, I established and ran a successful wellness practice in DC, and in 2018 I moved with my family to the Netherlands.

I studied Acupuncture for three years at the Tai Sophia Institute (now the Maryland University of Integrative Health) in Laurel, Maryland. I earned and continue to maintain my Board Certification/Diplomate in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (U.S.). I completed my PLATO Medische Basiskennis training here in the Netherlands through NTI in 2021. I am a registered Acudetox Specialist by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (worldwide), and a Coordinator for Acupuncturists Without Borders in the Netherlands, focusing on stress and PTSD treatments for refugees. I am also a CAT Vergoedbaar Therapist, and a practicing member of the Dutch Professional Organization NVTCG Zhong.
