Prof. Lipski has 40 years of experience in clinical nutrition. Her specialty is in digestive health. Her main book, is "Digestive Wellness". She also is on faculty for the GI modules for the institute for Functional Medicine and the Metabolic Medicine Institute fellowship program. She's published in journals and textbook chapters.
For the last 40 years, I have been involved in shaping the profession of Integrative & Functional Nutrition as a clinician for over 30 years, working on nutritionist licensing in over 10 states, on professional boards, training physicians and other clinicians, and as a faculty member in training the next generation of nutritionists. My personal mission is to put a nutritionist into every clinic in the country. When we are there, we change the way that medicine is practiced in that clinic.
Current advisory boards include: Algaecal and the Autism Hope Alliance. Past boards include: the American Nutrition Association (2018-2020;, Secretary of the Accreditation Board for Professional Nutrition Education (2016-2020); Nutrition Advisory Board for the Institute for Functional Medicine (2008-2011); National Association for Nutrition Professionals (2007-2008) and special advisor to the board (2008-2015); International and American Association for Clinical Nutritionists (1992-1993) and more.
I like to spend my time with my husband, friends, and family. I'm an avid reader, land love to travel, cook, and garden.
My philosophy is that lifestyle comes first. If I can try to live my own in somewhat of a balance, then I can model that to others. When I was in college, I learned about systems theory. I see everything as connected and integrated. Being at MUIH is a great fit for who I am and what is important to me.
