Overview

Dr. Johanison has been in private practice in the state of Maryland for more than 13 years. Her specialities include fertility, pain management, and emotional health. She has been teaching at the graduate level for more than twelve years with a focus in theory, clinical supervision and integrative health management.

Professional Narrative

Dr. Johanison is founder and president of a health education nonprofit organization, and serves as adjunct faculty at Maryland University of Integrative Health and Lotus Professional College located in Richmond, VA. She is a published author in her field of study and is currently working on her second book. Dolma has served on committees and Boards of Directors for more than 20 years and speaks publicly regarding the many benefits of mind-body wellness. She is a PDA provider for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. A graduate of two Army colleges, Dolma served honorably in the US Army for 21 years.

My philosophy of teaching includes creating a learning environment that supports the needs of each student, integrating learning styles that allows for the growth and development of each student. My classroom fosters diversity, dialogue, practical application while thoroughly covering the governing theories, pertinent philosophies, historical significance, and people.
